| Analytical Method | Mixed Indicator Dyes: In aqueous solution, a number of organic substances exhibit an intense colour which is dependent of the pH. These pH indicator dyes change their colour (e.g. blue to yellow) with the pH. The colour shift usually takes place in the pH range of ca. 1.5 pH units which effectively is the measuring range. When combining several suitable indicator dyes, the measuring range can be widened considerably. |
